Most Common Resolutions You Always Break

The time of the year has come when you can take a New Year resolution that you are eventually going to fail; or most of you if not all. No offense meant there! The deal with New Year and taking resolutions is hard to comprehend. You make promises to yourselves to become a better person in the year to come, with the best of intentions, but notoriously break it.

Blunt, isn’t it? Sorry people, but that’s the ugly truth and you can’t agree more. Those resolutions that you made last year, do they still stand? Only 8% would say yes because that’s the official percentage of people who succeed in following their New Year resolutions.

Most New Year resolutions are related to health, career, relationships and whatever that would make you less dangerous to the society. Some of them are so common and repeatedly taken yet not easy to keep. Here is a list of the most common New Year resolutions that you thought were easy to keep but actually aren’t:

QUIITTING SMOKING

QUIIT SMOKING

Quit Smoking: Smoking comes at the top of the list for obvious reasons. Quitting the world’s most addictive habit is nowhere near easy. Almost 40% populations of smokers around the world resolute to stop smoking and 39% abandon it midway; some, not even a day.

Procrastination concept

Procrastination concept

Procrastination? no more: Leaving things for later is one common habit and most people want to get rid of it. However, the effect becomes the cause and next thing you know is your current year’s resolution gets passed on to the next one.

lose-weight

Losing weight: The enthusiasm to achieve a great shape starts every year, but the focus slows down as the year moves on. After a few days, you find yourself grabbing a Big Mac in the nearby McDonalds, flushing your self-control down the drains.

A Not-So-Interested Volunteer

A Not-So-Interested Volunteer

Volunteer for a social cause: Surviving another year reminds us of how fortunate we are and think about the spirit of giving and volunteering for a social cause. But as the snow melts, so does the spirit of giving.

There are no hard and fast resolutions in making resolutions. You can make one or loads of resolution, depending on how far you can go in standing by them. Stop making unrealistic resolutions and by unrealistic, we mean something not achievable as per your capacities. Do make a resolution this 2016 and give your best towards its fulfillment.
