Last I read, they were saying if you heat it for a few minutes, the fluid turns into a very thick paste-like solution. Ew. Well, don’t you worry Coke lovers, you can ignore this like you always do. Coming back to the topic under discussion, it turns out the classic soda can be used as a multipurpose tool to deal with various household problems. So, if you were looking for a reason to stock Coca Cola on your refrigerator, here are a few:

Killing pests – Remember that bottle of coke with the dead lizard in it. Well, you read half of the story. Coke attracts pests, but the acid in them also helps in killing them. The plot thickens, right! You can also use it to lure wasps and moths which will later drown in them.

Cleaning toilet bowls – The fizz that comes out of this soda drink actually has great stain removing qualities. Pour a can of Coke right into the toilet bowl and leave the fizz to work its magic for a few minutes before starting the scrub.

Removing rust and corrosion – Basically, people go for engine oil or gasoline in order to remove rust from metals. However, if you are looking for a more affordable alternative, grab a can of Coke. The liquid has phosphoric acid in it which can easily help in washing away the corrosion in battery terminals. In case of metals, simply soak them overnight in a container and scrub off the rust with a stiff brush easily the next morning.

Eliminate oil stains – Open happiness the new way! Cleaning oil stains from driveways or garage floors is a tough task to accomplish, except if you got a Coke at hand. Pour a little amount of the dark liquid over the stain and leave it for an hour to soak in. Although the stain can be removed using a paper, you can use other cleaning tools for your convenience.
