Time runs its toll on everyone, but it looks like Sharon Stone has been spared. The Basic Instinct star who now is 56 and completely recovered from the Brain Hemorrhage that struck her in 2001 recently opened out.
“Every time I go into a Starbucks, some 20-year-old guy throws himself at me!”, said Stone. She also went on talking about why she tells people that she is 56 all the time. “it’s soft to pretend anything. Moreover, no matter what you say, that’s what you are”, the Dalai Lama speaking in her voice.
After being struck by Brain Aneurysm in 2001, life was clueless for her for two long years. She lost her vocabulary, couldn’t read for two years, and stuttered for a long time before gaining complete control over her speech. “I was in an ICU for nine days and the survival rate for what I went through is very low. I don’t need someone to make me feel bad about growing older. I’ll tell you what makes you feel bad: when you think you might not”, said an elated Stone who has regained her full vocabulary.
Sharon Stone gained her recognition for the role of Catherine Tramell, a brilliant, bisexual, Narcissistic serial killer. Noted for various sexually explicit scenes, the movie became a huge commercial success giving Stone the required recognition in Hollywood. Post Basic Instinct, she was listed as one of the 50 most beautiful people in world by the People magazine. Her role as Ginger in Martin Scorcese’s Casino earned a nomination in the Academy Award for Best Actress and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama.
Aging is something that the Hollywood population doesn’t find appreciating. In fact, you are never allowed to get older in Hollywood. But, Sharon Stone is one of the few citizens of this anti-aging community who easily accepts her getting older. “Growing older is a goal that I chose to get”, expresses Stone who has aged quite gracefully.
Having full confidence over herself, she is now back full-throttle. Her life is more disciplined than ever. She is about to star in TNT’s Agent X.
